The 4th Annual U.S. Hickory Open held by the Society of Hickory Golfers was just completed at the French Lick Resort in Southern Indiana.
French Lick is one of those truly sleeper places and is definitely worthy of making your short list for your next buddy trip. Matt Ginella of Golf Digest writes about it here.
Eighty- one golfers from 27 states braved hot humid weather in their Plus Fours and ties. A friend of mine shot 102 in the first round and was quickly dubbed .FM. as in FM 102.
This sounds like a blast and just what the game needs...crazies making a hard game downright impossible.
